"The American flag, the star-spangled banner, was officially adopted by the Second Continental Congress as the flag of the United States on June 14th, 1777, during the Revolutionary War against Great Britain. The design of the flag was the red, white and blue, stars and stripes design that we recognize and celebrate today, except at that time there were only thirteen stars representing the thirteen colonies/states that existed at the time. Congress and the President didn't formally approve national observance of Flag Day until August 3, 1949. The history and values symbolized by Old Glory are recognized and saluted both on Flag Day and in conjunction with the 4th of July, Independence Day.

You can celebrate and commemorate both Flag Day and Independence Day with your fellow citizens, treasured friends, family members and coworkers, by sending them one of the nationalistic, flag-waving greetings in this bold and beautiful Assorted Set and Jumbo card collection. These small and extra-large notecards feature the US flag painted on brick walls in both clean and distressed condition, underlying the enduring strength and rock-solid values of the fifty American states united into one great country.
